Police, Firefighters Respond To Explosion At Exxon Mobil Refinery In California
Police and firefighters from Torrance, Calif., were responding Wednesday to a large explosion at an Exxon Mobil Corp. refinery, the TV station KLTA reported. The local station said residents had reported hearing the explosion and feeling the ground shake. It cited police as saying air-quality readings were within the normal range. Shares of Exxon Mobil were down 2.5% at their lowest level for the day of $90.73.
