Peso Turns Higher Against The Dollar

The peso turned higher against the dollar in midday trading on Tuesday, trading at 18.48 to the dollar, compared with 18.56 late Monday. Mexico's currency has been seen as a proxy to Donald Trump's chances in the presidential election, with most analysts expecting the peso to sharply weaken in the event of a victory by the Republican candidate. Earlier, it traded at 18.67 to the dollar.
