Paralympian gold medalist Oscar Pistorius on Tuesday in South Africa was sentenced to serve five years in prison for shooting his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, to death. The prosecution had sought a sentence of 10 years in prison for the double-amputee track star. In September, Pistorius was found guilty of manslaughter after a seven-month trial over Steenkamp's shooting through a bathroom door at Pistorious's house on Feb. 14, 2013.
