Oscar Pistorius Sentenced To Five Years In Prison For Shooting Girlfriend: Reports

Paralympian gold medalist Oscar Pistorius on Tuesday in South Africa was sentenced to serve five years in prison for shooting his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, to death. The prosecution had sought a sentence of 10 years in prison for the double-amputee track star. In September, Pistorius was found guilty of manslaughter after a seven-month trial over Steenkamp's shooting through a bathroom door at Pistorious's house on Feb. 14, 2013.
