Orbitz Ends Dispute with American, US Airways

Orbitz (NYSE:OWW) says it reached an agreement that will allow it to continue selling American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) and US Airways (NYSE:LCC) tickets on its sites.

The Chicago company aorbitdded that tickets previously bought on its sites are still valid.

On Tuesday American and US Airways pulled flight listings from Orbitz sites as part of a dispute over the fees Orbitz charges to list and sell the flights. American said it had already dropped its fares and that US Airways would do the same on Monday. Corporate customers would have still been able to book travel through Orbitz, but individuals would have had to go to the websites of the airlines or Orbitz' competitors.

Orbitz shares fell about 5 percent Tuesday.
