Oil Futures Gain 1.4% For The Week
Oil futures fell Friday on persistent concerns over excess supplies, but prices finished with a gain for the week on signs of a slowdown in U.S. production. July crude lost 81 cents, or 1.3%, to settle at $59.96 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Tracking the most-active contracts, prices saw a weekly gain of 1.4%.
