Oil Futures Fall, Natural-gas Prices Rally On Week
Oil futures settled lower on Friday, down 4.6% for the week but below-normal temperatures in the eastern U.S. fed a rally for natural-gas prices. March crude fell 82 cents, or 1.6%, for the session to settle at $50.34 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract, which expired Friday, lost 4.6% for the week. March natural gas settled at $2.951 per million British thermal units, up 11.7 cents, or 4.1% Friday. It was up 5.2% for the week.
