Oil Futures End Higher; Nymex Crude Up 0.7%

Oil futures settled higher Thursday, gaining back some ground lost in a steep plunge the previous session after a jump in U.S. crude-oil inventories. West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery rose 37 cents, or 0.7%, to close at $50.79 a barrel.
