Oil Futures End 3.6% Lower At $57.81 a Barrel

Crude-oil futures for January delivery, the front-month contract, fell $2.14, 3.6%, to settle at $57.81 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday. Prices were hobbled by yet another cut on 2015 demand expectations, this time from the International Energy Agency. Oil changed hands for as low as $57.34 a barrel earlier Friday. The commodity's weekly decline exceeded 12%.
