Oil Futures Drop To Lowest Settlement Of The Month

Oil futures dropped below $58 a barrel on Tuesday to mark their lowest settlement price of the month. A stronger dollar combined with traders' caution ahead of weekly data on U.S. crude supplies to pull oil prices sharply lower. June crude fell $2.17, or 3.7%, to settle at $57.26 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The June contract expired at the close.
