Oil Falls as Debt Worries Mount

U.S. crude extended losses to fall over $1 on Wednesday, pressured by U.S. debt worries and an unexpected increase U.S. oil stockpiles.

By 1232 GMT U.S. crude futures was down 94 cents to $98.65, having fallen to the day's low of $98.44 minutes earlier. Investors were awaiting EIA data at 1430 GMT for more clues on U.S. demand.
