Oil companies shares down at the close of trading

Shares of some top oil companies were down at the close of trading:

BP PLC fell $.31 or .7 percent, to $41.23.

Chevron fell $.41 or .4 percent, to $106.50.

ConocoPhillips fell $.19 or .3 percent, to $66.34.

Exxon Mobil Corp. fell $.22 or .3 percent, to $85.34.

Marathon Oil Corp. fell $.28 or 1.0 percent, to $28.90.
