Obama, Yellen To Focus On Long-term U.S. Outlook

President Barack Obama and Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen will focus on the long-term outlook for the U.S. economy in their one-on-one meeting Monday afternoon, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said. It will also be a good time for Obama to hear Yellen's views on the global economy ahead of his meeting with G-20 [explain g-20] leaders in Australia on Nov. 15 and 16, Earnest said. He also said he had no update on the timing of White House action to fill the two vacancies on the seven-member Fed board of governors.
