Obama Briefed On Canada Shootings, White House Says

President Barack Obama has been briefed on the shootings in Ottawa, Canada, a White House spokesman told reporters Wednesday. White House press secretary Josh Earnest said U.S. government officials have been in touch with their Canadian counterparts in the wake of the shootings, and that Obama will speak with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
