NXP Gets FTC Clearance To Merge With Freescale Semiconductor

NXP Semiconductors NV said late Wednesday it received approval from the Federal Trade Commission to merge with Freescale Semiconductor Ltd. . NXP and Freescale announced the $11.8 billion deal back in March. NXP expects to close the deal by Dec. 7.
