NFIB Small-business Optimism Index Rises To Five-month High In May

Small-business sentiment improved in May, a trade group said Tuesday. The National Federation of Independent Business small-business optimism index rose 1.4 points to 98.3, the highest level since December, as six of ten components improved. That puts the index in line with its historical average of 98, the NFIB said.
