Natural-gas Futures Gain After Supply Report
Natural-gas futures held to a 1.5% gain Thursday after the Energy Information Administration reported a decline in supplies by 64 billion cubic feet for the week ended Dec. 12, the upper end of expectations. Analysts polled by Platts had expected the EIA to report a decline in inventories between 60 bcf and 64 bcf. Natural gas for January delivery rose 5 cents to $3.75 per million British thermal units.
