Mortgage Rates Rise As 30-year Reaches 3.76%: Freddie Mac
Mortgage rates climbed after the strong employment report, Freddie Mac said Thursday. The 30-year fixed rate mortgage averaged 3.76% in the week ended Feb. 19, up from 3.69% last week. The 15-year fixed-rate averaged 3.05%, up from 2.99%. The 5-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable rate mortgage was unchanged at 2.97%, and the 1-year Treasury-indexed ARM rose to 2.45% from 2.42%.
