Mortgage Rates Fall For First Time In Four Weeks, Freddie Mac Says
Mortgage rates fell for the first time in four weeks, mortgage buyer Freddie Mac said Thursday. The 30-year fixed rate mortgage averaged 3.75% in the week ending March 5, 2015, down from 3.8% last week. The 15-year fixed-rate mortgage fell to 3.03% from 3.07%, the 5-year Treasury-indexed hybrid adjustable-rate mortgage fell to 2.96% from 2.99%, while the 1-year Treasury-indexed ARM stayed at 2.44%.
