Microsoft hires back Kurt DelBene for corporate strategy job; will report to CEO Nadella
Microsoft said Monday that it has hired back Kurt DelBene to head its corporate strategy and planning.
DelBene was president of Microsoft's Office unit when he left the company in 2013. After Microsoft, he was put in charge of HealthCare.org, the website used as an insurance portal for President Barack Obama's health care law. Most recently, he was a partner and venture capital firm at Madrona Venture Group, which invests and advises technology startups.
In his new position, DelBene will report to Microsoft Corp. CEO Satya Nadella.
Shares of the Redmond, Washington-company rose 20 cents to $41.92 in afternoon trading.
