Michaels Stores recalls about 8,400 folding tables that can collapse when sat on

Michaels Stores said Wednesday that is recalling about 8,400 folding tables because they can collapse when customers sit on them.

There have been four reports of customers falling and injuring their backs, legs or hips after sitting on the table, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The folding tables were sold nationwide by the craft store operator between April and May for $30. The tables, sold as the Ashland Summer Living Vintage Wood Folding Table, have a red tabletop and are about 22.5 inches high.

The Michaels Cos., based in Irving, Texas, said customers can return the tables to any store for a full refund.
