Mercedes-Benz To Invest $500 Million, Create 1,300 Jobs At Van Plant In S.C.

Mercedes-Benz Vans said Friday it is planning to invest about $500 million to build a new van plant in South Carolina. The company expects to create more than 1,300 jobs at the facility, which will supply the North American market with the next-generation Sprinter. Construction is expected to begin in 2016.
