Meerkat Investors Include Jared Leto, YouTube Founder Chad Hurley, SNL Venture Capital Arm

Live streaming app Meerkat confirmed Thursday it closed a financing round led by Greylock Partners and with investors including Sherpa, Comcast Ventures, Slow Ventures, Broadway Video Ventures -- the venture capital arm of Saturday Night Live executive producer Lorne Michael's company -- Universal Music Group and individuals like actor/singer Jared Leto, David Tisch and YouTube founder Chad Hurley. Meerkat said Elman would join its board. Meerkat announced that it would talk further about the funding at noon eastern Thursday.
