McDonald's Turnaround Plan Announcement Doesn't Mention Food

McDonald's Corp.'s plan announced Monday to turn around its restaurant business has is focused on operational changes, and has no mention of food. The fast food restaurant chain said its three priorities are driving operational growth, returning excitement to the brand and unlocking financial value. The stock fell 1.2% in premarket trade. The new turnaround plan contrasts with the "Plan to Win" plan unveiled back in April 2003, which helped lead to a seven-fold surge in its stock price over the next 10 years, that focused on "attracting more customers" and "getting existing customers to visit more often," as well as building brand loyalty and increasing profitability.
