McDonald's profit up on growth in Europe, U.S.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - McDonald's Corp <MCD.N> reported a higher second-quarter profit on Friday after sales at established restaurants rose 5.9 percent in Europe and 4.5 percent in the United States, its two largest markets.
The world's biggest hamburger chain said net income was $1.41 billion, or $1.35 per share, compared with $1.23 billion, or $1.13 a share, a year earlier.
