McDermott Shares Jump On Surprise Earnings

McDermott International Inc. shares surged in the extended session Monday after the oilfield engineering company posted a surprise profit for the fourth quarter. McDermott shares jumped 21% to $3.15 on moderate volume. McDermott reported fourth-quarter earnings of 3 cents a share on revenue of $806.4 million. Analysts surveyed by FactSet estimated a loss of 6 cents a share on revenue of $716.8 million.
