Markets Turn Positive Late on Light Day
The U.S. markets were mostly flat in a light trading session on the Veterans Day holiday but a late session jump pushed all the benchmarks into the green along with oil and gold which rebounded from Monday’s losses.

After falling heavily yesterday, Nymex Crude Oil rebounded today climbing 0.70% to settle at $77.94 per barrel up $0.54. Gold prices also rose as the precious metal gained $3.2 to settle at $1,163.00 per ounce up 0.28%.
All of the major indexes saw gains on the day with the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumping into positive territory in late trading hitting another new all-time high at 17,614.9 up 1.16 points or 0.1%. The S&P 500 also hit a new all-time high closing after turning positive late closing at 2,039.68 up 1.42 points or 0.07%.
The NASDAQ Composite gained 8.4 points to close at 4,660.56 up 0.19%. The Tech heavy NASDAQ 100 gained 11.21 points or 0.27% to close at 4,187.16.
The Small cap Russell 2000 climbed .39 points to close at 1,179.96 up 0.03%. The Fox 50 gained 0.14% up 2.04 points to close at 1,435.39.
