LVMH In Talks To Takeover French Daily Newspaper Le Parisien

Luxury-goods group LVMH Hennessy Louis Vuitton said late Tuesday it has entered "into exclusive negotiations" with Groupe Amaury to potentially takeover the newspaper Le Parisien. LVMH owns Groupe Les Echos, which publishes Les Echoes, a major French financial newspaper. Francis Morel, chief executive at Groupe Les Echos, said in the statement that Le Parisien "would make a material contribution to our group through its strong complementarity with our current titles."
