LinkedIn Shares Rise After Third-quarter Earnings Beat
LinkedIn shares gained 9% after hours Thursday after the company beat third-quarter earnings expectations. LinkedIn reported a net loss of $41 million, or a loss of 31 cents per share, compared to a loss of $4 million, or a loss of 3 cents per share, in the year-earlier period. LinkedIn reported adjusted earnings per share of 78 cents, above the FactSet consensus of 45 cents. The company reported revenue of $779.6 million, up from $568.3 million and above the FactSet consensus of $756.2 million. LinkedIn issued fourth-quarter revenue guidance between $845 million and $850 million and adjusted EPS of 74 cents. For the full year, the company expects revenue between $2.98 billion and $2.98 billion and adjusted EPS of $2.63. The company reported 396 million cumulative members for the third quarter.
