Lew Calls Greek Prime Minister To Urge Compromise

Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew on Tuesday phoned Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to urge him to move toward a compromise with the country's creditors, a Treasury spokesperson said. Lew said that failure to reach an agreement would create immediate hardship for Greece and uncertainties for Europe and the global economy.
