Lehigh University grad gives $5 million to business program

A Lehigh University graduate who went on to found a global software company is donating $5 million to expand the school's executive education program.

Vistex founder and CEO Sanjay Shah will present the university with the gift on Thursday. Shah's donation will help create the new Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research.

Shah earned his master's degree from Lehigh in 1989. His Chicago-based software company has 20 offices worldwide and collaborates with industry leaders like Apple and Adobe.

A new building will be constructed to house the Vistex Institute. The company is also partnering with Lehigh for a research-centered business program that will allow students to access the company's clients.

Shah says he hopes the gift can strengthen the quality of education at the university.
