Las Vegas Sands shares gained in Wednesday's after-hours trading following the release of quarterly earnings from the company. The casino operator reported third-quarter profit rose to $617.7 million, or 83 cents a share, from $626.7 million, or 76 cents a share, a year ago. On an adjusted basis, Las Vegas Sands earned 84 cents a share, in line with analysts' estimates. Revenue, however, slipped to $3.75 billion versus $3.76 billion a year earlier. Shares rose 1.6% to $61.25 in late trading following the earnings report.
