Las Vegas Review-Journal's new owner hires new publisher for state's largest newspaper
Nevada's largest newspaper has a new publisher credited with growing circulation and business at the newspapers he's led.
GateHouse Media announced Thursday that Jason Taylor will be president and publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Taylor arrives in Las Vegas nearly a year into his tenure as president and publisher of The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Mississippi, which is owned by Gannett Co. He was president of the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee for seven years, and senior vice president of sales and marketing for The Honolulu Advertiser.
Taylor is expected to start July 6 and will also lead the company's new GateHouse Media Live and Virtual Events division from Las Vegas.
GateHouse is a wholly owned subsidiary of New York-based New Media Investment Group Inc., which bought the Review-Journal from Stephens Media LLC in February.
