Kate Spade Expanding Home Category With 4 New Licensing Agreements

Kate Spade & Co. said Tuesday it is expanding its New York home category with four new licensing agreements. The company is adding bedding, bath, furniture, fabric, wallpaper and rugs to its existing offer of table linens and kitchen textiles, as well as stationary and gifts. "The partnerships will fuel Kate Spade & Company's long-term growth strategy and continued focus on product category expansion," the company said in a statement. The new collections will debut between May 2015 and spring of 2016 and will be available in a range of retailers, as well as online. Shares were not yet active in premarket trade, but have gained about 16% in the last three months, while the S&P 500 has gained 2.1%.
