JetBlue Shares Rise After Better Than Expected Fourth Quarter Profit
JetBlue Airways' stock rose .51% in premarket trade Thursday, after the airline company reported a better-than-expected fourth-quarter profit. The company reported adjusted earnings per share at $0.26, above the FactSet consensus of $0.24. Revenue for the fourth quarter was up 5.9% from a year ago to $1.45 billion, in line with the FactSet consensus. The company's realized fuel price declined 13% to $2.70 a gallon. The company also said it improved its system on time departures. The stock has rallied 37% over the past three months through Wednesday, while the S&P 500 has gained 1%.
