JetBlue flight searched in Boston after threat, state police say no hazard found
A JetBlue flight has returned to the gate before takeoff from Boston because of an unspecified threat, but authorities say nothing hazardous has been found.
Massachusetts state police spokesman David Procopio says passengers were taken off Flight 321 to Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday night. Troopers with search dogs swept the aircraft and about 100 pieces of luggage.
Procopio says the flight was cancelled and its 135 passengers will be rebooked. Logan Airport ended flights Monday evening because of the Northeast snowstorm.
Procopio says law enforcement had information before the search suggesting the threat wasn't credible. He hasn't released details.
New York-based JetBlue Airways Corp. spokesman Sebastian White says the airline also believed the threat wasn't credible but acted out of a concern for safety.
Authorities have been investigating other airline hoax threats, five since Saturday.
