Jonathan Pollard, a former U.S. Navy analyst convicted of spying on Israel's behalf, has been released from a U.S. federal prison, according to news reports Friday. Pollard served nearly 30 years after being convicted for passing classified information to Israel. Pollard was released Friday from a prison in Butner, North Carolina, after being granted parole. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1987. Pollard is being required to stay in the U.S. for five years. Lawyers for Texas-born Pollard said he has a job and a place to live in the New York area, according to the Associated Press.
