The software giant had a big Black Friday, with 40% of new device activations becoming active since then.

Windows 10 is on track to be the fastest-adopted version of Windows ever. Windows 10 is also doing well in the enterprise and education markets, with 76% of Microsoft's enterprise customers piloting the new version. There are now over 22 million Windows 10 devices being used by enterprise and education customers.

Mehdi made a similar announcement last August when Windows 10 reached 75 million devices, which was soon followed by a third-party estimate of 100 million devices the following month. Microsoft has been enjoying a solid run under Satya Nadella, as the new CEO is executing on a different long-term vision than his predecessor.
