IBM, Apple Release 10 Apps For Business

Apple Inc. and IBM Corp. will make their first wave of business apps for iOS available this week for clients such as Citi, Air Canada, Sprint and Banorte. The apps, which follow an alliance announced between the two earlier this year as part of Apple's efforts to expand in the enterprise market, include banking analytics and client portfolio management for the financial industry, flight planning for airlines and a FaceTime-like service for the telecommunications industry. So far 10 apps have been released as part of the companies' plan to release 100 industry-specific apps for the iPhone and iPad.
