Hill International tops 3Q profit and revenue expectations

Hill International Inc. (HIL) on Friday reported a third-quarter loss of $9 million.

The Marlton, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 19 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 4 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.

The construction consultant posted revenue of $161.5 million in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Analysts expected $147.6 million, according to Zacks.

Hill International expects full-year revenue in the range of $580 million to $590 million.

The company's shares closed at $3.63. A year ago, they were trading at $3.59.
