GT Advanced Settles Dispute With Apple
GT Advanced Technologies said it believes it has settled its dispute with Apple , and will now focus on moving forward through the bankruptcy process. GT Advanced declared bankruptcy on Oct. 6, soon after the company learned that its sapphire material won't be used in the screens of Apple's new iPhone 6. GT Advanced accused Apple of being a "bully," saying Apple's tactics played a part in the company's bankruptcy. "Although we have different views on the matter, we believe we have settled our disputes with Apple and see no point in further addressing the circumstances that led to our Chapter 11 filing or our relationship with Apple," said Tom Gutierrez, GT Advanced's chief executive.
