Greylock Partners Confirms Investment In Meerkat

Josh Elman of Greylock Partners is leading the investment round in video streaming app Meerkat, the venture capital firm confirmed Thursday. "It's a new beginning for live video, and I'm thrilled to be on board with [Meerkat CEO] Ben [Rubin] to build the future," Josh Elman wrote in a Medium post. Greylock would not share further details on financing and valuation of the startup. Meerkat tweeted that it would share funding news around noon Eastern Thursday. The funding round is expected to be $14 million.
