Greece Said To Propose Two-year Bailout Program: Reports
Greece is requesting a two-year bailout program from the European Stability Mechanism, according media reports Tuesday that cited the office of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. The ESM is Europe's permanent bailout fund. Such a proposal would come after talks between debt-burdened Greece and its creditors broke down over the weekend. Reports earlier Tuesday indicated European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker Monday night approached Tsipras about a marginally sweetened offer for Greece.
