GoPro To Launch Roku Streaming Channel
GoPro Inc. will launch an on-demand streaming channel through the Roku platform this spring as the maker of wearable outdoor cameras continues to diversify beyond just traditional camera sales. This expands GoPro's streaming presence that also includes a partnership with Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox , and complements a new partnership with Vislink that is expected to bring high-definition live-streaming capabilities to the Hero4 starting this spring. The high-action content offered through the Roku channel will be similar to that offered through GoPro's YouTube channel, which has 2.7 million subscribers. Shares of GoPro were up 1.3% to $52.57 in premarket trade.
