GoPro, Ambarella Shares Lead Tech Advance

Tech stocks got off to a strong start Tuesday, with digital-sport camera maker GoPro Inc. among the advancers. GoPro shares rose 3% to $83.95 a day after the company said in a regulatory filing that Chief Executive Nick Woodman, and other stockholders, plan to sell more than 10 million GoPro shares in a secondary stock offering. Ambarella Inc. , which supplies chips for GoPro cameras, saw its shares rise 6% to $51.69. Other gains came from Apple Inc. , Amazon.com Inc. and Facebook Inc. . The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index rose 28 points to 4,699.
