Gold Settles Lower, But Holds Above $1,200 Level

Gold futures fell on Monday but held ground above the key $1,200-an-ounce level. A stronger U.S. dollar weighed on dollar-denominated prices for metal as traders continued to watch developments tied to Greece's bailout extension. April gold fell $4.10, or 0.3%, to settle at $1,200.80 an ounce on Comex.
