Gold Holds Onto Gains After FOMC Minutes

Gold futures continued to climb in electronic trading Wednesday after the release of the Federal Open Market Committee’s minutes from the April meeting. The minutes showed that there was less enthusiasm for a June rate hike among Fed officials than had been the case in March. June gold was at $1,209.20 an ounce in electronic trading after settling at $1,208.70, up $2, on Comex.
