Gold Futures Settle Lower, But Hold Near $1,200

Gold futures pulled back on Thursday after strong gains a day earlier. Weakness in the U.S. dollar, however, helped prices hold ground near $1,200 to finish above the session's lowest levels. June gold shed $3.30, or 0.3%, to settle at $1,198 an ounce after an intraday low of $1,194.30 on Comex.
