Gold Ends Higher, Posts Highest Settlement In 2 Weeks
Gold futures finished higher on Monday, marking their best settlement in about two weeks as some softness in the dollar and a lack of any significant economic data offered the yellow metal a chance to climb. February gold gained $15.60, or 1.5%, to close at $1,080.60 an ounce. That is the metal's highest closing level for a most-active contract since Dec. 4 when gold finished at $1,084.10 an ounce.
