Gold companies shares down at the close of trading

Shares of some top gold companies were down at the close of trading:

Barrick Gold Corp. fell $.04 or .3 percent, to $12.32.

Gold Fields Ltd ADS fell $.13 or 3.1 percent, to $4.09.

GoldCorp fell $.17 or .9 percent, to $18.87.

Newmont Mining Corp. fell $.09 or .4 percent, to $22.08.
