Procter & Gamble Co. said Thursday its The Gillette Company subsidiary has filed a lawsuit against Dollar Shave Club, saying the razor blade delivery service's razors violate Gillette's patents. The suit seeks damages, and an injunction to block sales of products that infringe Gillette's patented technology. "Our patents help protect the many technical advancements we've made through the years--and when it becomes necessary, we take action to protect these important assets," said P&G Chief Legal Officer Deborah Majoras. P&G's stock, which was little changed in premarket trade, has lost 11% year to date while the Dow Jones Industrial Average has slipped 0.4%.
